Dolly Powell of Lake Wales we all? Dr. Fred had grounds all right but after the gifts did show up and the dinner disappeared he couldn't stay in a fussy frame o' mind. Yuh can say what yuh please but a mustache doesn't look any better under a bank president's nose than it does on any other guy. That is, unless you like 'em. Now that the threat of a hurricane is over I wonder if Tom and Walter have decided to whom the bill will be sent, how much it will be and who will pay it? Anyone calling for a New Deal? Of all people in the world to be havin' key trouble, Lorraine is the last one I'd suspect.

Looks like she could get one at Montgomery-Wards. That is, if she could get on the inside! Pore ole Jack he never did have any luck but for all o' that he's done right well. It does seem a pity though, that his purty medal, for gallant service in action, didn't arrive until last week. By Jack's own admission that's 20 years too late but I don't think the lad has missed much. Jack nor anyone else seems able to explain why his Uncle Sam just discovered the fact that he was entitled to the medal, honor and glory, which was given for special service during the world war.

LOCAL "ESS norma The Hurricane However I did get a few news items from the beach and didn't the river look pretty as the fleet headed for safe harbor? He's a Cowart if he denies getting stuck. Oh boy! Now we can write to Peaches and tell her the tennis news.
