U. S. Allison was taken to the Arcadia hospital Tuesday evening for an operation; Mrs. Lancaster accompanied her and will remain for two or three days until Mrs. Allison's health improves.

Mrs. Vernice Steele, Mrs. Ar-zelia Addison, Mrs. Joe Harrison and Phil Adair were Tuesday visitors at Arcadia. James Maxwell of Flora City arrived this week to make his home at Punta Gorda in the future.

Mr. Maxwell is with the White Way Barber shop. Mrs. Sam H. Campbell and her son, Sam II.

Campbell, of Chattanooga, will arrive this week to visit Mrs. Campbell's father, C. L. Babcock and Babcock at their home in Salana. Miss Alice Mossbarger of Chil-licothe, arrived Wednesday to visit for several weeks with her sister, Mrs.

Jordan, at their home in Cleveland. Mr. and Mrs. I. R.

Weaver and their daughter, Mrs. Myrtle En-ennbecker of Oklahoma arrived Tuesday night to be here with Mrs. Weavers parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.

B. Jones. They were called to Punta Gorda because of the sudden serious illness of Mr. Jones. Mrs.

Ray. Peggy Stalls Has Party at Moore Haven MOORE HAVEN Peggy Anne Stalls celebrated her fifth birthday with a Valentine party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Stalls, Wednesday afternoon.

Inclement weather kept the little folks indoors for their games which included a Valentine hunt of which Mary Ethel Lundy was the winner and received a prize. A Valentine motif was used in decorations and refreshments. Birthday cake and fruited jello with whipped cream were served to the guests by Mrs. Stalls. A little basket filled with heart-shaped pieces of candy was given to each child.

Those attending were Lois Cox, Joan Saxon, Doris Griffith, Joy Summers, Frances Vorhees, Mary Ethel Lundy, Miriam Lee Nail, Donald Farnam, Dwight Settle and Billy Lynn Brooks.
