The Middle School Plan boundary maps were completed and presented to the principals of all schools Monday for explanation, Hugh Flanders, director of research, said. The maps must be presented by April 1 to the U. S. District Court in Tampa according to the January order by Judge Ben Krentzman who gave the board the go ahead with middle schools for fall.

The middle school plan, which is scheduled to take Lee County off double sessions this fall, will convert Franklin Park Elementary School and junior highs in the county to middle schools for grades 6 through 8. Also on the agenda is recommendation by Supt. Ray Williams for an increase in salary for instructional and non-instructional staff for the 1970-71 school year. Gilber Moore, board chairman, said it will be a "minor" pay boost. He said he did not know what it was exactly.

Finance officials said everything regarding salaries will have to come from Williams. A dress code for the school system also will be presented to the board. Bids for construction at Michigan and Tropic Isles Elementary schools and the purchase of property for a senior high school east of Fort Myers will be considered.
