THE NEWS-PRESS, SUNDAY, JANUARY 7, 2001 DEATHS, FUNERALS Evelyn B. Anderson, 92, was born Jan. 10, 1908. A retired Lee County School System Employee, for approximately twenty the Orange River Elementary School Cafeteria, she attended First Christian Church of McGregor Blvd. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ethel (Edie) and Larry Purdy, a son and daughter-inlaw, Harold and Evelyn Anderson; a sister, Betty Stark; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Louie D. Anderson preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1970. She will be greatly missed and always remembered and loved by all her family. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

She was born on January 3, 1927 in Crawfordsville, IN to Earl and Leatha (Emmett) Lowe. She was a resident of North Ft. Myers, FL since 1982 coming from Crawfordsville, IN. She was a homemaker and a time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and attended services in Ft. Myers, FL.

Her father, Earl Lowe preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald D. Campbell, Sr. of North Ft. Myers; daughters, Cheryl Smith and Pamela and Steven Fleming; son, Donald D.

and Donna Campbell, all of North Ft. Inurnment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. ANTHONY ALBERT KOPAZ Anthony Albert Kopaz was born in Chicago, March the second child" of Rose (Wileski) and Anthony Kopaz.

He was raised in Chicago, attended public schools and graduated from Steinmetz High School in June 1943. While in high school, he worked for the Chicago Tribune, and after enlisting in the United States Army later in 1943, was assigned as a writer to the Army Newspaper, Stars and Stripes. He landed in Normandy a few days after D-Day and covered the European war until his discharge in 1945. Following discharge, he worked in 1945 and 1946 as a civilian employee of the United States government, covering the Nuremberg Trials. 1946 to 1948 he attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

In the late 1940's, he worked with the Chicago Daily News, then in government service again. He re-enlisted in the military, the United States Marines, in 1949, serving 2 years, primarily in Hawaii. Upon discharge, he worked at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago as an orderly and surgical assistant. In the mid to late 1950's, he worked for the City of Chicago and then the Chicago Tribune. In 1960 he enrolled in St.

Mary's College in San Antonio, TX. Following graduation in 1963, he taught Social Studies and adult education classes at DuSable High School. in Chicago until his retirement in 1975.006 After retirement, he lived in Chicago for a number of years, ultimately moving to Fort Myers, FL, where his, mother, sister and her family settled. He lived quietly on Bayside Parkway until his death. in the Deaths column is printed charge.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Henry Bennett. She was a registered nurse who cared for patients, family and friends for many years. She was a member of Seminole Chapter O.E.S. a life member of the Clearwater Philatelic Society, the American Legion Auxiliary of Fort Myers, Lions Club Auxiliary of Dunedin and attended Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Sanford, Florida.
