NEWS-PRESS, TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 1995 3B OBITUARIES Peter Cook, 57, British comic actor 1965-66 and 1970-73. "We stopped working together in 1977 although we have remained the Cook's film roles included "The Wrong Box" (1965); "Bedazzled" (1967), Cook's revision of the Faust legend; "A Dandy in Aspic" (1968); "The Hound of the Baskervilles" (1979), with Cook as Sherlock Holmes and Moore as Dr. Watson; "Derek and Clive" (1981); "Yellow-beard" (1983); and "Whoops Apocalypse" (1987). He was a principal investor in Private Eye, a satirical magazine noted for its frequent defense of libel suits. Cook is survived his third wife, Lin Chong Cook, and two daughters by his first marriage.

After a long run in London, the show moved to Broadway. Homegoing services for Elder Raines will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11, at 1 p.m., from the Unity Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. Viewing services will be held at the sanctuary, 2709 Highland Fort Myers, beginning at 6 until 9 p.m. today.

JEANEYODER Jeane Yoder, 80, of Fort Myers and Elkhart, died January 7, 1995 at her home here. She married Gerald L. Yoder In 1978, who survives, along with one sister, Margaret Johnson of Sarona, Wise, a niece, several step-children and step-grandchildren. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and Cypress Lakes Country Club. A private memorial service will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hope Hospice, or the charity of yourchoice. Out Of Area JOHN BURT John Burt, age 59, of Knoxville, formerly of Fort Myers, 1 COUNTY PUBLIC passed away late Friday evening, December 23, 1994atthefamilyhome.He was a member of Post 38 American Legion, Fort Myers. He Is survived by his wife, Billie Burt; thildren: Theordore Burt of Knoxville, Cheryl Lane of Bonita Springs, and John Paul Jones of San Marcos, three grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Ron and Kay Phillips of Seymour, and nephew, Jesse Phillips of Seymour. JOHN CHRISTIAN KNIPP, JR. John Christian Knlpp, 71, died January 8, 1995. He was associated with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance for 47 years, and was a Navy veteran of WW II. Survivors include his wife, Rosalie DuBois Knipp; son, John Knipp III of Jarrettsville, daughter, Martha K. DeWire of Ithaca, N.Y.; sisters: Jean Gerwig and Suzanne Huntley both of Baltimore, and four grandchildren.

HARRIET O. VANDAME WATROUS Harriet O. VanDame Watrous of Sarasota died January 9, 1995. Survivors include her two sons: William T. of Sarasota and T.

Theodore of Fort Myers; one sister, Helen Ogburn of Appalachicola, and five grandchildren: Bobby, Franklin, Katie, Robbieand Ashley.
