Nick Powell led olf the Wave seventh ith a single, the lone hit off Lakeland's Phillip Rine, moved to second as Rick Armstrong walked and to third as Duane Dewey walked with one out to load the bases. Powell scored as Pacetti grounded out. Pacetti held Lakeland hitless for four and one-third innings and wound up with a four-hitter, striking out six and walkingonlyone. Rine struck out seven, walked three and hit a batter.

Spring Sports Lakeland pushed across two runs in the top of the sixth inning at Terry Park Friday afternoon and then held off a Fort Myers Green Wave rally in the bottom of the seventh to hand the Greenies their third straight loss of the season. Special To The News-Press ORLANDO Coach Jimmy Spooner's Orlando Oak Ridge baseball team continued to dominate Lee County schools with a 1-0 victory over the Cypress Lake Panthers Friday. Spooner, formerly of Fort Myers, saw his club score its run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Danny Allie led off with a single, stole second, was sacrificed to third and came home on a squeeze bunt. Cypress Lake is now 0-2 for the season. Oak Ridge upped its season record to 5-1 and is 4-0 against Lee County teams. Ernie Harvard pitched the first four innings for the Panthers, allowing three hits and no runs. Losing pitcher Buddy Elliott gave up the other hit in his two innings.

Dolphins' Ref LaBelle 'Game' LABELLE A trio of Miami Dolphin stars will officiate tonight as LaBelle oldtimers participate in a football game at LaBelle High School football field as one of the fea: ture events of the annual Swamp Cabbage Festival. Manny Fernandez, Larry Csonka and Don Nottingham will be the officials for the game which is scheduled for 8 p.m. There will be a $2 donation accepted at the gate. The two teams will be composed of LaBelle residents between the ages of 19 and 60, many of them former LaBelle High football stars. "If a coach can't handle that, then he's got a handicap and it's his problem," Jurist said. Lopez' stepfather Henry Matthews was on hand for the umpiring debut. "His mother and I are so happy for him," he said afterwards. "Our biggest worry was his ability to make a living after we're no longer around." Edison's lone threat came in the eighth when they loaded the bases with none out.
