He was a past master at Orchard Lodge of Masons and a 50 year member of Gov King Lodge and Kora Shrine, member of Maine Master Plumbers Association, former member of the Scarborough planning board, zoning board of appeals, and Scarborough Sanitary District. His hobbies were listening to country music, hunting, fishing and spending time at camp at Lake Moxie.

married Mary Frazier in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Fort Myers; sons, George B. (Patricia) Frederick of Scarborough, Charles L. (Carolyn) Frederick of Limington; five grandchildren, Deborah Turner, Michael Frederick, Paul Frederick all of Scarborough, Tina Bradley of Easton and Todd Frederick of Windham; a brother, Richard C. Frederick of Scarborough and Fort Myers, a sister, Jean Hart of Scarbor- George Burton Frederick, of Scarborough and 2830 Cortez Fort Myers, passed away at his home in Fort Myers, after a long battle with Aizheimers disease.

He was born May 9,1915 at Prouts Neck the fourth of eight children of George Herman and Della Carter. Freder- attended Scarborough schools and worked at Prouts Neck Country Club as a young man. In 1937 he went to work at W.F. He was born December 3, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Ollie and Mary (Vinsek) Ruse. He was past chairman of the Gulf Coast All Airborne' Chapter of 82nd Airborne Division as well as a life member of the Florida Chapter and National Chapter of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team known as Rakkasan's. He was a lifetime member of the 11th Airborne Division Association as well as the Disabled American Veterans James D. Rader Post He was a member of the American Legion and also was a past Volunteer of the Cape Coral Fire Department, as well as the Cape Coral Fireman's Benevolent Association. A celebration of John's life will be on Saturday May 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Hospice of Cape Coral.
