William Magruder, SST development chief, said inquiries have come from Japan, West Germany and the Middle East.

Magruder said congressional leaders he contacted "have made no attempt to discourage" a plan to sell the package to pay for termination costs of the SST program. PUNTA GORDA William J. Parker, 63, of 3911 Woodholm Punta Gorda, died Saturday morning. He was a native of Florida and had lived in the Punta Gorda area for the past 14 years. STANLEY HARPER Stanley J. Harper, 76, a visitor to Sanibel Island from Minneapolis, died here Sunday afternoon. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret Harper; one son, James L. Harper of Minneapolis; daughters, Miss Josephine L.

Harper of Madison, Mrs. Helen M. Davis of Mound, Mrs. Elizabeth J. Gilroy of Grandhaven, Mrs.

Coleman NEW YORK (P) At least 359 homicides were recorded in New York City for the first three months of 1971, an increase of 79 over the same period a year ago, the medical examiner's office reports. Dr. Michael M. Baden, deputy chief medical examiner, said the figure could be revised upward with the death of any person criminally assaulted during the period. The homicide rate has risen steadily since 1965, he 2 Are Arrested On Drug Charge At Cape Coral Deputy Sheriff Bill Hess arrested two men Sunday afternoon on charges stemming from alleged possession of marijuana.

Placed i in custody in the Lee County jail were D'Arcy Donald Charbonneau, 19, of 2041 Cottage, who was charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphenalia; and Arthur Owen Homer, 18, of 208 Demar, Fort Myers Beach, who was charged with possession of marijuana. Hess said the arrests were at 5:40 p.m. in a palmetto patch off of Skyline Parkway in Cape Coral. Three teenage youths and an 18-year-old were at the scene; officers did not charge them and they were released to their parents. Woman Killed In Family Rift MIAMI (P A divorced couple struggled over a rifle which discharged and fatally wounded the man's new mother-in-law, police said Sunday.

Officers said 41-year-old Grace Miles bled to death in Jackson Memorial Hospital Saturday night despite transfusions given her to replace blood lost from torn arteries in her right leg. Herbert Sands, 31, said his ex-wife, 28-year-old Catherine Hill, came to the apartment where Sands and his new wife, Dorothy lived. Mrs. Hill came to pick up some clothing, Sands said. Sands told police he and his ex-wife quarreled, and he grabbed for the .30 caliber rifle to keep her from reaching it.

Police said Sands told them the rifle fired while they struggled for possession of it. 359 Homicides Listed in N.Y. Two Killed, One Hurt in Gunfire (Special to the News-Press) IMMOKALEE Two men were killed and one woman wounded in Saturday night shooting here. John Combs, 31, of Immokalee, was held in the Collier County jail on a charge of first degree murder in the fatal shooting Saturady night of Hoover Howard, 40, and the wounding of Virginia Oliver, 38. Sheriff Doug Hendry said the affray took place about 6 p.m.

Stockade Prisoner Dies in Hospital (Special to the News-Press) IMMOKALEE A stockade prisoner died Sunday afternoon in Naples Community Hospital, according to Sheriff Doug Hendry.

The man Basil R. Morgan, 52, had complained to guards about 8 a.m. that he was ill and wanted a doctor to see him. Morgan was taken to the hospital where he was placed in the cardiac intensive care unit. He died at 2 p.m.

Collier County sheriff's records indicate Morgan was arrested Mar. 4, in Immokalee, was convicted of drunken driving, and sentenced to serve 60 days in the Collier County stockade, a work unit operated by the county commission.
