The sale will help raise money for the needs of the new Bonita Springs library. Clifford Baker will give a slide presentation on China at a Friends of the Library meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Middle School. Baker, a retired Canadian Army Colonel, has visited China at the request of the Chinese government.

Circuit judge to address Republicans Circuit Judge Ted Brousseau will discuss crime and punishment at a Bonita Springs Republican Club meeting at 7:30 p.m. today at the Community Hall.

Retirees club to install officers The Bonita Springs chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons will install new officers and directors at a 1:30 p.m. meeting today at the Community Hall. After the installation, Elizabeth Peck will show material her grandfather bequeathed her about the naval battle that turned the tide of the Civil War.

Her grandfather participated in the battle. Harmonicas to entertain Wolverines The Happy Harmonicas and Harmoneers will entertain at a potluck dinner meeting of the Michigan Wolverine Club at noon Thursday at the Community Hall. A business meeting and election of officers will follow the meal. Those attending should bring table service. German-Americans to hold meeting The new German-American Club of Bonita Springs will hold its first meeting at 7:30 p.m.
