CAROLINE M. POLK Caroline M. Polk, 62, of 8395 Hart Road, North Fort Myers, died Saturday at her residence. She was a member of the Seventh Day Advenflst Church. She Is survived by her husband, Oliver C.

Polk; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Ballard of North Fort Myers; a son, Early Polk of Port Salerno, and nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Leo W. Engelhardt Funeral Rome.

Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Rest Cemetery In Port Salerno, Fla. VIOLET G. WALTER Violet G. Walter, 68, of 3107 Sunny Harbor Drive, Punta Gorda, died Thursday.

She Is survived by her husband, Fred J. Walter; two sisters, Alllne Geske and Alice Hanson; and several nieces and nephews. Private service wos held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were by the Harvey Funeral Home. 220 EDDIE JEFFERSON Eddie Jefferson died Friday at local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Lee County and a member of the Church of God In Christ. He was a civic leader for many years. He Is survived by his wife, Doris Jefferson; three sisters, Mrs. Ossle Jefferson, Mrs.

Mettle P. Gladden, and Mrs. Neller Jefferson, all of Fort Myers; and one brother-ln-low, Henry Gladden. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Sears 8. Carter Funeral Home.

ELMER T. PETERSON Elmer T. Peterson, 80, of 513 Catherine Port Charlotte, died Saturday In Fort Myers. He hod moved to this area from Iowa City in 1965. He was a professor and dean emeritus of Iowa University, Department of Education, and was a veteran of World War I.

He Is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Chindblom of St. Petersburg and Mrs. Ruth Hanson of Burnsville, a niece, Mrs. Helen Danner Dorsev of Los Angeles, and her two children, Dlune Dorsey and Blinn Dorsey.

He was a retired officer In the U.S. Coast Guard, a veteran of the 7th Regiment in World War II, a member of the Cape Coral Moo-e Lodge and the German-American Club. Funeral service will be announced later by the Harvey Funeral Home. JOHN J. PELSANG SR. John J. Pelsang 67, of 4937 Seville Court, Cope Corel, died Saturday of Fort Myers Community Hospital.

He came here five yeors ago from Hillsdale, N.J., ond was a member of the German-American Social Club. He is survived bv two daughters, Mrs. Margie Mann of Ringwood, N.J., and Mrs. Claire Hawkins of Woodcliff Lake, N.J.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Janet Frangochais of Ramsey, N.J.; two sons, John J.

Pelsang Jr. of West-wood, N.J., and Robert Pelsang of Monlevale, N.J.; two brothers, Elmer Pelsang and Frank Pelsang, both of Point Pleasont, N.J.; a sister, Adele Monzo of Point Pleasant, N.J.; a brother-in-law, Rudie Kroszner of Cape Coral; and 11 grandchildren.
