Deaths Elsewhere King Ranch Presidenf Dies At 78 New York Times Service NEW YORK Robert J. Kleberg president of the King Ranch, which owns 960,000 acres of cattle and oil lands in Texas and operates an additional 11.5 million acres of ranches abroad, died in Texas Sunday night of cancer of the stomach. Kleberg, who was 78, lived near Kingsville, Tex. Kleberg developed the United States' first breed of cattle, the Santa Ger-trudis, a cross between the Indian brahmin and the English shorthorn. Besides ranching, Kleberg raced thoroughbreds, two of which, Assault, and Middleground, won the Kentucky Derby.

He also purchased Canonero II, the derby winner in 1971, for breeding at a cost of $1.25 million. The holdings that Kleberg directed were vast. The total of more than 12 million acres is more than the combined area of Maryland and Beglium. Since ownership of the Kni Kauui, is distributed among members of the Kleberg family and since the entire empire is composed of layers of corporations, Kleberg's personal fortune was difficult to state. But a friend of long standing estimated it as "at least S100 million." VTTr-n Ik TALL SIZES 10-24 lew It P': shoes IP A I KA 3.

NEW LOCATION IN EXTRA UP PLANT CITY (AP) A 74fear-old flight instiuctor who starud his career jumping from a hayloft villi homemade wings says he ntver wanted to be the best pilot ij the nation just he oldest. Charles Milfcr traces his futina-tion for flight jack to the cornjields of where a a 12 year old he tr(id to imitate a.iird. "I bailed dit of the loft rith a bundle of fodd'r under each irm," says Miller. had no concepion of what flying meant just tha birds had somethin that stretchel from their body outvards, so I fijured I could fly withi'odder." Miller has came a long wiy since those days. He has logged years piloting experience, moe than 25,000 flight hours.

i He learned to fly from Robert. Gast, a World War I pilot vho lived in Louisville, and later opened China's first ai mail run. Gast was1 lost at sea in H38. Over the yeats Miller has flown in air shows, made advertising leaflet drops, opened a civilian pilot training school and was an engineering test pilot. In the he started his own flying schooj in this strawberry farm belt 30 miles east of Tampa.

He still turns out pilots at his grass landing strip. He also builds and maintains small aircraft. "I've built up half a dozen planes, but never one from scratch," Miller says. Three of his five planes cost him $25, $100 and $165. "I build them better than the factory," says Miller.

"I overhaul all my on engines and don't send nothing off." Miller, who has flown all kinds of planes including a Lear Jet, says he does no instrument flying. But he doesn't take chances. "I see where I go. I don't want to be the best pilot just the oldest." greeting Service If you are one of the thousands of people who came to Florida to live but still own a cemetery plot up north, your death could prove very costly to your survivors. Consider the cost of shipping the casket and remains back. Consider the long distance phone calls. Consider that one or more family members will fly back for the funeral. The cost of accommodations while they are there.

Your inexpensive burial plot could become very expensive. In fact, the cost of transportation alone, will probably be more than the purchase price of a plot in Lee County. It is advisable to take advantage of Harvey's pre-need program. This will ease the burden of your family and avoid making hasty decisions under emotional stress. Call or write today for information.
