She was one of nine daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Jones. Her mother, Melissa Sara, was a founder of the now- JonesWalker Hospital in Dunbar. Her father came to Southwest Florida in about 1898 to plant groves in Arcadia.

Mrs. Session worked her way through Savannah (Ga.) State College for a degree in education. For 57 years 37 of them in Lee County she taught "music, drawing, reading, writing and arithmetic." She taught at Dunbar High School and was teacher-principal at Williams Elementary School for 15 years prior to her retirement. In an April interview, Mrs. Session said "Oh, I loved teaching I would love to be doing it now if I wasn't blind.

I love children and old people oh, others too, of course but children, they're something special. love everyone," added. "I don't see color. I've good life. I hashe don't know where I'm going, but I know where I've been and it's been good." Funeral arrangements are pending.
