Many folks never notice them. "But a lot of others do because I'm about five weeks behind on watch repairs right now," Thomas said. Bradley is also busy, but doesn't have the backlog that Thomas has. Many people can do minor repairs on jewelry but no one can do anything for a broken watch.

Both Bradley and Thomas have practiced their trades for many years and in many far away places. Bradley was born in England and has been making jewelry since he was 16. He once found it was a neat way to get rings for his girl friends and then a good way to earn pocket money while going to school. Later he taught jewelry making. He has practiced the trade in Singapore, HongKong, and the Bahamas.
