Mistrial Closes Court Term Here A mistrial yesterday ended the last case of the last day of the October term of county court. Chisholm Rivers, on trial for assault and battery and unlawful assembly, received a temporary postponement of decision in his case when the jury failed to come to an agreement after an hour and 20 minutes. The charges arose from a fight at Scottie s Place in Bonita Snrings on Sept. 14 during which Rivers was said by witnesses to have closed the door and beaten up a drunk. One witness testified that on approaching the place he was warned to get back or he would "be knocked 20 feet." The drunk, described as "giving no more trouble than the general run of people," received injuries which required 10 stitches over his eye and four on his lip, witnesses said.
